THE SCIENCE BEHIND WEIGHT LOSS HAS CHANGED
Welcome to a new era of weight loss. At the centre of CutKilo’s programme is our self-injectable pen. Prescribed and supervised by Dr Emil Gadimali, this clinically-approved treatment works on the gut-brain signals to reduce food cravings and target the root cause of weight loss.
So, what’s in the pen? This revolutionary treatment is part of the GPL1/GIP family of medication. It’s been used for more than a decade to manage blood sugar levels and safely treat diabetes. Medical advances mean it’s now being used for weight loss. At CutKilo, we combine this latest medication with an online lifestyle intervention programme to create life-changing results.

What is Mounjaro?
Mounjaro is a weekly injectable medication. It contains the active ingredient Tirzepatide – a synthetic peptide composed of 39 amino acids.
Tirzepatide is near 90% identical to two naturally occurring hormones in your body, GLP-1 and GIP. It works in your body to keep you feeling full for longer and lower your appetite. It also lowers your risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes by reducing blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar.
Mounjaro comes in the form of a pre-filled injection pen with 4 doses that you administer yourself once a week.

TRADITIONAL WEIGHT LOSS SOLUTIONS
Achieving significant weight loss through diet and exercise can often be challenging, with many people finding it difficult to maintain long-term results. Studies show that traditional methods often lead to limited success, highlighting the importance of medical support for those needing more effective, sustainable solutions.

WHAT HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS LOOKS LIKE
In 2022, 45% of adults in England aimed to lose weight, with 52% of these being women. Sustainable weight loss is best achieved through a balanced, calorie-controlled diet and regular physical activity, emphasising whole foods like vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains while reducing processed foods, sugars, and unhealthy fats.
Consistency in healthy eating, exercise (cardio and strength training), proper sleep, and stress management can lead to lasting results. However, restrictive diets can slow metabolism and increase hunger, causing many to regain lost weight. Addressing factors like hormonal balance and appetite regulation is crucial to prevent cycles of weight regain.

WEIGHT GAIN - THE STATISTICS
Weight gain has become a growing concern globally, with statistics showing that approximately 75% of adults aged 45-74 are classified as overweight.
Being overweight is typically determined by calculating Body Mass Index (BMI), which assesses weight in relation to height. A BMI of 25 to 29.9 indicates overweight, while a BMI over 30 signals obesity – which can lower your life expectancy.
Crunch the numbers with our BMI Calculator
*Enter your height and weight into our BMI calculator to estimate your healthy range and see how much weight you can safely lose. We’ll use this figure as a useful indication in your initial consultation.
If you have an Asian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Black African or African-Caribbean family background you’ll need to use a lower BMI score to measure overweight and obesity:
- 23 to 27.4 -you’re in the overweight range
- 27.5 or above -you’re in the obese range
